Hey fellow Canadians perhaps you would like some cheese to add to your whine. Whining about gas tax but not about having the paved roads to drive on hich those gas tax help pay for. Complaining about then price of gas or having to pay before you pump. All while paying more for bottled water than you do for gas.


Whining about the weather, boo hoo it raining a little like it would kill ya! Cry me a river! Cry me a Niagara falls of tears. B!T*Hing and moaning
about parking tickets when it was up to you to feed the metre.
Those metre maids do not have quotas to fill, so don’t blame them for doing their job.

Cash your GST cheque and still complain about charged GST when you buy something with it. Cry me a river; go ahead and cry. Notice the sea-planes before you buy that waterfront condo but still buy it; now those sea-planes are one more thing to moan and groan about.

Keep electing governments that make conflicting promises that don’t add up so you can complain when they can’t fill them all. Complain about the price
of anything in any store that can’t match walmart’s prices. Oh yes cry me a Niagara fall of tears, boo hoo boo hoo it’s wet out. Hold back the rain.
Don’t want this shelter in my backyard, don’t want these people who lost their home assisted on my dime even though it’s also on their dime.
They have to live somewhere why a flood zone when I live on a fault?

The liberal party has been all over the map on our army’s mission in Afghanistan

they sent the army there. They sent the army into Kandahar , yet now that it’s

costing more lives they want switch sides on the issue and blame the new

government for their mess.  Evidently they can’t accept they are for now in

opposition.  The NDP and some citizens like to cherry pick which facets  of

the mission they support and which they don’t.  Jack Layton wants to sit down

and talk with the taliban in spite of the fact the last time we did that a Canadian

soldier was hit in back of his head with a hammer. Some people want our army

with drawn but humanitarian workers to stay; why, so they can be taken hostage like

the Koreans? MPs and Canadians overall we have to decide whether they want

they support the mission or not. There is no luxury of meeting have way. If Jack

Layton or Stephion Dion headed the government in forties we would have never

liberated Holland or capture Ortona from the Nazis. Jack would have us sit down

and talk with Hitler; Mr. Dion would say, “we can’t do that it’s a combative roll”

Equally naïve are those  who think moving our  troops by helicopter instead  of

ground convoys would be any saver.  The taliban would just switch to using

RPGs, stingers, or Grail missiles.  Prephaps the NATO ( North Atlantic Treaty

Organization forces are naïve in assuming they can achieve what 100 000 000

Russian soldiers backed by airpower and more tanks than Canada and Holland

can shake a stick at.  The Americans sowed the seed for this chaos in Afghanistan

when they armed the mujadeen and insisted the USSR make a quick withdraw.

Now American actions of the eighties has come back to haunt them.

The Americans (the presidential administration) like the liberal party of Canada

are trying to wash their hands of their part in Saddam’s gassing the Kurds in the

eighties and his invasion of Kuwait . They allowed the Iraqies to fly armed

helicopters to crush the rebellions after the gulf war.  Bush junior forgot to

mention his dad and his dad’s boss (Regean) sold Saddam weapons and the sold

Iran weapons too.  Seems Uncle Sam was a contributing factor in prolonging

the Iran Iraq war.   And some (like Britney) think they should just trust their

president. They might as well say they accept dictatorship cause that’s were

blind trust of authority leads to.  Absolute power leads to absolute corruption.

Well I am not saying extraterrestrial space-craft for sure exist, but they

should not be discounted neither should the possibility that

maybe we have already been visited from the unknown.

For years people have been making hoax about

everything from spacecraft, to Nessie, to ghost and for generations governments have been explanations that do not fit the facts, but if you

don’t believe in something [visitors from space] does not mean

they don’t exist. On a recent episode of mystery hunters a so called

military expert discounted the notion of visitors from the unknown cause

he say caustic distances are too great, but that is just pure arrogance!

It is possible of life out there with superior technology that have

spacecraft capable of travelling at the speed of light or greater

it is possible that there are aliens with life-span of a million years

Either there is a global conspiracy to give the same descriptions

or we have had close encounters of the third and fourth kind.

In March 1997, several lights hovered in the night sky over Phoenix Arizona

these lights (seemed to be a large object in the shape of a large boomerang) were caught on several camcorders from many people living

miles a part form each,  could they have collaborated together to hoax the

same video? –not likely

it sure wasn’t a stealth since stealths don’t hover

were they really National Guard flares? this is what I mean by

explanations that do not fit the facts flares would not remain

suspended in the air (defying the law of gravity) that and it is not

legal or normally procedure to drop flares over populated areas

while their noses glow in the dark, or Venus paying a visit

This does not mean that I assume any lights in the night sky

are from outer space: no way, and I do believe people

have feigned photos of flying saucers just like

people have feigned pictures of fairies and the loch ness monster

it is possible that people have faked motion picture evidence

of Sasquatch (big-foot) but it possible that some UFO

sighting and abductions are a load of B.S. and others are others

are true, much like crop circles could be created by hoaxsters

or paranormal phenomena or a combination of both

I believe it is a very strong possibility that the Earth has been visited

Perhaps some competition with the public sector would

do some good. Take for instance public healthcare unions,

and teachers union.  The BC Nurses union are claiming

contract out surgeries would be bad for the public system

and the BC teachers are demanding a 24% raise.

Well I use to be strongly opposed to public dollars going to private

schools, but the most expensive thing to have is a closed mind.

After talking to some students, and reading letters in the editorial.

I realize a lot of public schools just don’t care; some just move students

up whether they’re ready or not, some don’t do anything about students

who skip, their text books are 30 years old. No point in squandering money

on schools that are ineffective: schools who put kids through the system
when they can’t spell or read or do math at the level they should be able.
 Why is it so hard to get rid of bad teachers, or incompetent teachers? 
Why can’t teachers fail students who deserve it.
This is the trouble in giving the public system a monopoly, and job security to the teachers union.  Nobody else is guaranteed a job and neither should public teachers be; if they want to keep their job the should produce results

like everyone else. Give the parents education vouchers so the schools that
produce the results get the funding even if they are private schools. Maybe
then school boards will be more efficient and will be fiscally responsible.

  A system where funding is attached to the students

instead of going directly to the school would give them incentive to

do the job or they lose students funding and close.   We are not doing kids a favour in the long term, unless we only keep the best teachers and forget the rest.

Schools, especially secondary schools need to prepare students for

the real world and punish students that skip; participation in on any

school teams, or clubs need to be contingent on attendence and

effort in the classroom. If our tax dollars goes to a private school

that’s fine by me as long as they get results and accept all of God’s

children.  Maybe a private school can do a better job for the same

cost.  Maybe an end to a monopoly for the public system is the push

they need to restructure, put more funding into the classroom and keep

only the best teachers, and principals.  Perhaps funding should also

be tied to the success of the school, how many graduate and how many

grads are able to pass standardize exit test. One thing I have learned

from chatting with students are some of our schools just don’t care if

students skip, or know the material they’re suppose to know. Like in

the movie teachers they just move the kids up to get them through the

system.  In the long run they doing a diservice! Something is rotten

when public schools have a monopoly to public funding.
