Arms, or Doves?

So on July 12th 2006, Israel is threatening to turn back the clock to the 80’s when they invaded Lebanon.  Too bad their allies (the Christian militia, and South
Lebanonese Army) lost the civil-war.  It is also unfortunate, that both
sides can’t learn form their mistake Israel’s warplanes, and army destroyed
Beirut once before.  Arafat’s PLO was based in Lebanon’s capital
at the time, and Israel wanted to deal with them once and for all, so
they set up artillery around the city and shelled the muslim side.
Little wonder people in Lebanon hate Israel. On the flip side
with rocket attacks, suicide attacks, and kidnappings no wonder Israel
forces pound their enemies. Don’t the Arabs and Israelis realize by now
this vicious circle is a non-solution.  How unfortunate, the Arabs can’t
go of their anti-semitism and the Jews let go of their Zionism.
Maybe, if they gave the Palestinians citizenship with voting rights and
a social safety net, and not imprison them without fair trial they
would feel no need to kill Jews, or push the Israel into the sea.
Although Israel has the right to defend herself there are two ways
to destroy your enemies: one is kill the other way is to make them
your friends.
