Just 12 years ago the Liberals swept to power in part cause the Mulroney government was corrupt, and the Liberals vowed they’d be clean; in ten, twelve, or fifteen years from now the people will be tired of tory corruption, and the liberals will be saying the same things they said 12 years ago. History repeats itself!
However, what we should be concerned with now is the whether the conservative platform adds up: it doesn’t. They are promising
$45 billion in tax cuts, $30 billion in yet balanced budgets.
If it sounds to good to be true it usually is.
Stephan Harper reminds me of Gordon Campbell promising that tax cuts would not lead to cuts in service. We need more NDPers in the house to keep the new conservative government in check.
