nonpolitical_conservation

Some idealist and arrogant people feel man has the God given right to make

decisions for other species. A case in point is a orca in an inlet on the west coast

of Vancouver Island. The department of fisheries and oceans have tried to reunite

this orca with his pod courtesy ill conceived do gooders.  People are so wrapped

up in whether they could reunite orcas that they don’t think whether they should.

They aren’t giving the orca credit that he might not want to reunite with his

pod or he would have done so by now, they haven’t considered that when and if

reunited there is no guarantee an orca would stay with his or her pod.

Man’s arrogance is not restricted to marine life. How often do conservation officers

go shoot cougars, or bears that they claim behave badly? Who gives them the God

given right to decide how to judge how wild animals should behave. We are the

ones encroaching on their territory. Four legged animals have just as much right to

life, and preservation as we do. They do not understand, or care about boundaries

of civilian population, and why should they when we’re destroying their habitat.

We are the only species who hunt for pleasure, or just to make a fur coat. ( I would

rather go naked). I have seen the monster that walk the earth, and they are us!

  1. Cap'n Crunch says:

Killing nuisance bears is unfortunate but necessary. Yes the problem is encroachment by humans but what do you suggest? Relocation does not work.

That orca should have been harpooned a long time ago.

  2. Andre says:

    To Cap”n”Crunch
Who are u to say bears are a nuisance? Does that mean we should shoot any person

we think is a nuisance. Why harpoon the orca, shouldn”t he be free to swim where

he wants? You”re a sick bastard!

  3. Cap'n Crunch says:

A bear in my backyard is a nuisance. As the property owner and protector of my family I am the one to say the bear is a nuisance. There are enough bears in Oregon. And no, this does not cross to humans - who is the sick bastard? Killing people is not the same as killing bears. If you were a nuisance on my property I would have you arrested.

  4. andre says:

So your saying we have more right to life than
other creatures of God; just cause a bear is
on your property doesn”t mean it’’s going to
eat you and your family. You are a sick bastard!
Why harpoon the orca? You”re sick!

  5. Cap'n Crunch says:

Yes, we have more right to life. We have the guns don’t we? So if I disagree with you I am a sick bastard?

  6. andre says:

Disagree all you like, I still think you’re a sick bastard for wanting Luna

harpooned. Judging the footage I seen on tv that orca seems very

    friendly with humans.
